         <description><![CDATA[<p><p>&nbsp;Hello!&nbsp;</p>
<p>My name is Isabella Giaquinta. This Padlet website is specifically made to help guide you through how I completed my My Time school project. Our instructor, Mr. Nappier wanted us to make our Friday specials class about us, the students. He had us pick a goal we would all like to achieve, either for the trimester, or the rest of our eighth grade year.&nbsp;</p>
<p>My goal was to become more fit, eat healthier, and reach a higher level of flexibility. All of these parts have to do with one particular topic, my health. I did manage achieve all three parts to my goal. One idea I had to get me to eat healthier was to keep an eating journal. I did this online and made a template that I updated daily. I wrote down the things I ate or drink throughout that specific day. By doing this, I was able to see what I needed to add to my diet, and what I needed to take away. This was a very beneficial plan I used to improve my health.</p>
<p> Another idea I used fell under the lines of flexibility and becoming more fit. Before My Time, at least once a week I participated in a yoga class up the street from my house. I tried very hard to take classes two to three times a week. This, however, was harder for me to do. The costs for a class were high. Therefore, I started to watch online yoga tutorials. After I watched the tutorial videos, I would apply what I learned to what I already knew about yoga and reaching a high flexibility level.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Another thing I did to reach my goal was participating in more cardio. My first idea of accomplishing this was to join a gym, but I realized that everything I would do at the gym for cardio, I could easily do at home. I’m a volleyball player, and having strong muscles is very important. I used cardio as an advantage on and off the court.&nbsp;</p>
<p>My goal was reasonable to achieve and I will continue to do this for the rest of my eighth grade school year. My expected result was to have better eating habits, reach the needle level of flexibility, and lose body fat to gain muscle. I am very proud that I worked hard to achieve my goal for My Time. I certainly want to continue this throughout high school and maybe even college. I am ready to work hard and pursue my goals in the future as well.&nbsp;</p>
<p>What needs to be accomplished?</p>
<ol>

<li>participate in yoga 3-4x a week</li>
<li>participate in private cardio workouts or gym memberships</li>
</ol>
<p>What steps are necessary for it to be accomplished?</p>
<ol>
<li>(eating journal) add and takeaway specific foods and drinks</li>
<li>(eating journal) make updates everyday based on what you are eating&nbsp;</li>
<li>(yoga) save money to pay for classes</li>
<li>(yoga) put in the time and effort and find room in your schedule&nbsp;</li>
<li>(yoga) learn the moves in a class and complete them at home as well.</li>
<li>(cardio/gym) focus on improving your jump</li>
<li>(cardio/gym) talk to trainers and gym owners about what would help you become more fit and what would work best for your body</li>
<li>These will all be necessary to complete everyday if possible</li>
</ol>
<p>How will you know you are successful?&nbsp;</p>
<ol>
<li>(eating journal) look back to the first day you began your journal and see your progress, you will know you are improving and becoming successful.</li>
<li>(yoga) If you reach the needle level of flexibility you will know you are improving and becoming successful.</li>
<li>(cardio/gym) If you begin to lose weight and build more muscle you will know you are improving and becoming successful.</li>
