Back in Boston Joe was a really good basketball player but he went to a private school and he didn't really play that good of competition. But when he moved to California for his senior year he had a chance to go to one of the best basketball schools in California. But right before that party Joe's dad gave him a choice of what school he wanted to go to and of course he picked the Public school(that was the good basketball school). So his dad let him make his pick and he was fine with it even though he wanted him to go to the Private school. When he got home he got in trouble and the next day his dad sat down with him to have a talk. That talk was about, since joe couldn't control himself his dad would make his high school decision for him, so his dad made him go to the private school. Joe was mad because the private schools basketball team wasn't as good as the public schools team. So when he had to tell the news to Ross he wasn't happy and neither was Ross. He had just lost his best friend and he didn't get to go to the high school that he wanted to go to. While he was sitting in bed he heard  a loud car pull up to his house and when he looked outside it was Ross's car. Ross had a big rock in his hand and he threw it at his window and it shattered.
