This is more common in places with smaller populations, because it  is easier to count every citizens vote, however, some people really believe in this form of Democracy, and it it sometimes used in larger places with more people and  a larger population.

Poor: Women who were born into poorer families, and usually married into families just as poor, ended up working, to actually make money for the family, and they tried to get as much income they could, as well as they tried to inherit as many items, so they could sell them off. The children they had ended up working as well and tried to get money for their families.

Men: 
Rich: They had to work more than women, but they had more rights, and they didn't have to spend that much time working because they were already wealthy, and had enough money to support the family already.

When they did leave, they took their children to places safe for women and their kids, like museums, or baths for the women and children. 3-6 children were often common, and the women stayed home many days to look after the children.
Poor: Poor women sometimes ended up doing work, but that was really only things around the house, like sewing, weaving, and art, which were sold or traded by the men in the family. They had very small privileges, and they were treated very poorly.

Men: 
Rich: They often lived in huge houses, and they enjoyed extravagant lifestyles. They still had work, whether with the government, or agriculture, but it was minimum work, and they usually relaxed and enjoyed calm, still lives.
Poor: Poor men spent much more time working than richer men, however, they still had more privileges than any kind of woman. They were still the ones to marry their children off, and they still had fairly good lifestyles.

Teens: Young male teens were married off at about 17, to girls up to 10 years younger than them, and they rarely had the choice of who to marry. If they were poor, their parents married them off to anyone old enough, and rich enough. The lords were given certain amounts of land, and the land was rented out to them by the King. Event's like weddings, parties, prayers, and even time in schools, were all controlled by the Church. The Church even had some power over the King, if the King wants to change something in society, or wants to make a law, or punish someone, the pope can refuse, and the King doesn't end up being able to make that change. It is unlikely that 95% of people who got the Black Death were able to recover from it, and most people who got it died. The number of bodies was so large that they couldn't bury all the bodies, so, many bodies ended up rotting while waiting for more burial spots. Not only did the Black Death kill many people, it also destroyed feudalism. Peasants were able to leave their lords, and find higher wages because of the labor shortages. The land worth changed, and so many people died it ended up being absolute chaos.
