My childhood was blessed by books on Rembrandt, Picasso and the Vatican. Although I was too young then to appreciate the books, it gave me common knowledge of most paintings and art styles.

I learned about the unique contributions of the masters in enhancing the specific quality of a painting through aspects such as color and orientation. I enjoyed learning about the periods in which the masters lived and realizing paintings as important facets of history. My only regret was that we should have tackled painting sooner as to maximize the ground covered in painting, as there is plenty to talk about.
