I think the saying "like a light from an invisible lamp" means that some trait is indirectly shown through characters or objects, just as grace was shown through Gollum, even though it was hard to tell. This observation shows how the Catholic Imagination allows Catholics to find Christ-like qualities in even the most unexpected people and situations.

This further illustrates for us how these two planes work together not only in the Lord of the Rings, but also through our sacramental vision as Catholics. The cloaks are described in great detail, and these details are contrasted through different situations. The cloaks also serve great protection for those they cover.

The Lembas Bread seemed to make Frodo and Sam only think of other foods and their longing for other bread and meat. Tolkien, although he describes the Lembas Bread as being this great and magical source of substance does have trouble seeing it as a powerful and fulfilling food when being compared to the Eucharist .
