My mom told me that she doesn't really know the meaning of my name but it came from her dad he came up with it. His name is Mario and when my grandmother was pregnant he thought that the baby was going to be a boy/male,so he was going to name him Mario just like him.When he found out that my mom was a female he didn't have a name for her and he couldn't name her Mario, he started thinking of a name but Mario was stuck on his mind. He thought of naming her Mariolin but that wouldn't sound right so he switched the O w a U and that's how Mariulin was created then when my mom was pregnant with me my dad decided to name me after her. I don't know if my name fits me but what i do know is that i don't like my name i mean i like it because i have the same name as my mom and its unique but i dont like that people miss pronounce my name, I think its also because i dont like repeating myself and i have to do that when people dont know my name.

this is a dish that my mom makes a lot and i love when she does it because it tastes so good. It's called pepian and you eat it with some rice on the side and its just so good. Pepian is like chicken stew ,it brings the red sauce ,some potatoes ,of course the chicken and if you like you can also put some rice on the side.

this is another delicious meal that my amazing mother makes.This dish is called garnachas ,and i aos love this food a lot. Garnachas are a fried tortilla with meat ,and shredded cabbage. You can add other topings like cheese ,and beans. I personally don't like my garnachas with beans ,i will sometimes eat them with cheese but i prefer them without the cheese.

My hero is my mom. Why is she my hero? Well she is my hero because she is the strongest ,sweetest ,and loving person i have ever met. My mom has always been there for me. Shes always telling me to keep working hard because she knows ill be successful in life, she wants me to follow my dreams and do well in school. She wants me to have the opportunity in life that she never got to have because her life has been hard i know that because whenever i do something wrong she tells me what she had to go through. My mom is literally my best friend and she is always right , i just love my mom so much. She works so hard just so me and my siblings have everything we need and she sure does a great job with that. If we ever ask her for something she will give it to us. For example if we're cold she'll give us her sweater even if shes cold herself. Words cannot describe how much i love and admire my mom she is the best mother in the world and i know that she tries her best. I love my mom so much she is gorgeous and an amazing mother.

El Sombrerón is a legendary character and one of the most famous legends of Guatemala. He is very short and wears a really big hat , he's dressed in all black and also wears heeled boots. He roams the streets of guatemala. On a full moon at midnight el Sombreron looks for women and has them fall in love with him. He makes them fall in love by singing to them, he will then braid their long hair. He shows up at farms where he is heard riding the horses and braiding their tails. If he ends up winning a horse or woman its said that the horse or woman will end up dying. To prevent this from happening the woman should cut her hair short this is because el sombreron only goes for women who have long hair he likes to braid it.

I dress nothing like my culture. What people from guatemala wear is so different from what i wear.The women usually wear a long skirt or dress pants but the traditional clothing is called a traje. A huipil is a shirt made of two rectangular pieces woven on the backstrap loom with a hole cut out for the head, and the sides are sewn together with openings for the arms. Then there's a Faja this is a handwoven belt or sash used to hold up the corte. The corte is a single woven piece of fabric worn as a skirt. I dress nothing like this i wear either flare jeans, baggy jeans, or tight jeans and my v cut shirts. The guatemalan clothing which is the traje is influenced by the mayan culture.

'When you are convinced your cause is just, you fight for it." You should fight for what you want in life, you should sacrifice for what you want in life because why would you want to sacrifice for something that you wouldn't make you happy. If you like doing something you should fight for it follow your dreams and don't ever let them go because at the end of the day that's what makes you happy. If you enjoy doing something then keep doing it, if some one tells you otherwise ignore them and continue doing it.

Mi vida esta en esta bella tierra" these lyrics relate to me and my culture because im from guatemala a beautiful country i can never forget about. I was born there but at 5-6 years old i came to the U.S. with my family looking for better opportunities for a better life. My mom had the idea of coming to this country at fisrt my dad did not like it because he didn't want to leave and he thought that it was a dangerous risk that we were going to take. My mom ended up convincing him and we came to the United States but no matter how long it passes i will always remember my beautiful country i will never forget the memories i had with my family, they were great memories and i wish and hope to see my family again because its been 8 years and i haven't seen my family that were left behind.
