Augmentation: Google Forms auto saves the document, allows you to send your quiz out to others, has options for adding point values, and adding colors and backgrounds to the form.

Modification: Google Forms has a spot for responses to your quiz so you can collaborate and see the results of your students' answers and give them a grade.

The levels start off as simple and become more complex. Because technology is such a prominent resource in our society today, it allows us to extend our education in a more improved manner. At the conclusion of the lesson, the whole class discusses how the new words they learned helped them better comprehend their reading. We transformed this lesson plan using the SAMR model:
Substitution: We decided to let the students use tablet devices to read Rain School. This allows them to utilize a technological advancement while still performing the same task by reading the same book and having the same questions.
Augmentation: The students are encouraged to listen to the story on audio while wearing headphones to help them better understand the book. By having them listen to someone else reading the book, the words that they don't know will be said aloud to them, which will help them remember them.
Modification: The students will google 5 words each and find the definition of those words. This will help the students understand the book and better their vocabulary. They then will have to add their work to a class Padlet so each student can comment at least one synonym and an opinion on other students' work.
Redefinition: Each student will be required to add their 5 words and definitions that they have found to a Quizlet made by the teacher for the class. By using this technology, students will be able to collaborate and learn about words they thought they knew but really didn't.
