It can be different because when you're online they cannot physical touch you and if you don't talk to strangers the you cant talk to anyone. the rules are different so they cannot leak info from you like they try to.

If you do talk to strangers they might get enough information about you and they can come to your house and kidnap you. You also can't see who is on the other side of the screen. It might be your friend or a person who you don't know.

the rule don't talk to strangers changes when we communicate online because we don't know who's on the screen on the other side of the computer. so if you don't know the person who's that account is, don't speak with them because it's dangerous.

You shouldn't talk to strangers because you never know what they can come up with or little secret little "plan". Strangers are taking advantage on mostly children because children are kind of dumb sometimes (no offense) and they could just follow the stranger and somehow get kidnapped.

Some strangers also pretend to be nice and say they are (insert young age here) and try to be your friend. Then you will become friends and you have been lured into a trap by a 35 year old man that is not (insert same young age here)

Even though strangers can be dangerous you don't need to avoid them forever. You can stay safe online as long as you don't give away personal info or meet them in real life at (insert location here)
