Thesis-
Paige: Smollett proves social propriety and emotion play off of each other in complex ways, Strong emotions such as anger tend to cast off social propriety more than gentler emotions such as kindness, showing the effectiveness of social propriety over emotion by using dialogue and tone.

Laney: By using diction, dialogue, and tone, Smollett demonstrate the susceptibility of man to become overtaken with emotions despite the social norms are in place.

Summary:
Our outlines used dialogue and tone to argue the relationship between propriety and emotion.
