this week I learned how to write a proper and tempting headline as well as body copy. I learned that the headline is the most important component of an advertisement because it is what draws viewers' attention. It indicates whether or not the viewer is willing to continue reading the advertisement. A compelling title attracts readers to continue reading, and there are various types of headlines and styles. for instance, types of headlines include present news, direct benefits claims, and the list goes on. I also get to know what an unsuccessful headline looks like. Furthermore, I learned the five ways to hold reader’s attention with your first paragraph without overselling and overstating the product’s features and benefits. One of the key reasons why something sells is because of the body copy, which also provides the product information and inspires the reader to take action by emphasising the benefits the product would bring to the buyer. There are a number of body copy formats as well as different writing strategies that can be applied. The Big Idea and overall creative approach will determine which technique is suitable for the brand or product.

(192 words)

this week miss taught us how to write the body copy for a print ad. A few techniques for writing a good body copy include straight-line copy, dialogue, testimonials, narrative, and direct response copy. I also get to learn the different body copy types such as emotive, narrative, factual hard-selling, factual educational, dialogue, back selling, and many more. Next, I also learned some practical tips for writing effective body copy for advertising. For example, it needs to be interesting, specific, and simple. It also needs to be persuasive and matches the needs of the consumers. Miss showed us some ads example from Thailand which uses emotional storytelling to draw people's attention to stay on the ad and it did a good job. I cried within 2 seconds of watching it because I'm a super sentimental person.

(136 words)

This week i learned what exacly is copywriting, meaning how to actually develop a copy and understanding the mechanism behind it. Copywriting actually equals strategy + idea + structure + style. I also get to know how to develop the strategy so that the copy caught people's attention and make sure it works. Other than that, doing research before actually conducting a copy is relatively important as you need to know your client as much as you could in order to give them something they want. I also get to broaden my horizon by studying different case studies and examples shown by miss.

(102 words)

This week, I learned about the 3Ps and advertising research.Advertising research is a specialised form of marketing research conducted to improve the efficiency of advertising. it is the systematic gathering and analysis of information to help develop or evaluate advertising strategies, ads and commercials, and media campaigns. There are 2 categories of advertising researches which are customised and syndicated. I also learned the importance of advertising research, and how it helps ads agencies to further enhance their ads and bring them to a whole new level. We must make sure the right approaches, the right tools, and the right questions are asked to ensure the salience, reliability and validity of the results.

(113 words)
