When I've noticed that I wasn't really contributing to the class discussions, I decided to put my hand up more if I know the answer to a question or I ask questions either in front of the whole class or after school. The two key competencies I think I've been good at showing are Thinking and Using Language, Symbols and texts. I know this because this term I set a goal for myself to try my hardest with all of the subjects. I also have lots of evidence of the hard work I have done. When I noticed that I wasn't managing self I started messaging the teacher more when I needed help with something and asking my mum more questions to help me. I also struggled with relating to others because I realised that I didn't have much to relate to but when I really thought about it then I realised that I do actually have things to relate to. I think that the two key competences that have been my strength is thinking and a little bit of participating and contributing. I have realised this because I use to not participate with many class discussions but now I think that I have been contributing to more discussions now. I also think that thinking was my other strength because when I get stuck with something I do not panic I just take my time and think about it. When I noticed I wasn't managing myself I decided that I would sit all by myself and finish my work because the group I usually sit with are sometimes off task because their talking a lot. Then when I noticed that I wasn't participating and contributing I tried to contribute more in class discussions. The two key competencies I think I was best at were relating to others because I made some new year 7 friends. Another key competency that I am good at is using language, symbols and text for example in my duality map I added my language and a Holy Bible which is a symbol. I struggled with a little bit with language,symbols and text because I think I am not very creative when it comes to pulling together a design. I can get be distracted from my school work when sitting with friends, if they distracted me or I'm distracting them. I've trying to stop doing this by moving away from my friends during work time. Or doing work with my friends, try our best not to get distracted.

My strengths have to be relating to others and using language, symbols and texts. I know that these two are my strengths because I am to able to confidently talk about my Duality map to my parents explaining the patterns designs and I am able to translate the things I see in my other heritage culture.
