I think some parts of my identity chosen by me are the music i like, the hobbies I have or the goals I have. This is because i choose and like what music I listen to. I do my hobbies because I love doing them, not because other people do them, I think they reflect my personal taste and my decisions.

I also choose my goals and determine the time to do them and I also determine the kind of person that I want to be.

On the other hand I believe that society shapes my identity through culture and traditions. The language that I speak and some behaviors that I seem normal to me thanks to the community I live in.

Identity is the combination between these 2, I have the power and intelligence to make choices of who I am, but also shaped by the people around me.

I believe that focusing on only one idenitity category can hide a lot of a person's experience, this because it ignores how different parts of its identity interact with each other. A clear example of this is only focusing on a person's gender, we might assume all womem face the same challenges. But this is a mistake, as a white woman does not face the same problems as an indigenous woman. This is a clear example of how looking only in one category we miss the bigger picture and we can't understand what someone goes through.

I strongly believe that art can become a form of social resistance when used accurately, as it challenges the system, beliefs, or inequalities that society has normalized. It helps giving a voice to the minorities and it creates a space to express truths than people may commonly ignore. The perfect example of this is Kendrick Lamar, as he, through his music, reflects the struggles and emotions of an entire community. The most perfect example is his song Alright, as it became an anthem for social movements across United States of America, turning pain and frustration into hope and unity. Kendrick uses his art to question racism and injustice and the way society treats minoritary groups.

I think globalization has made it easier for artists to share their ideas and emotions with people from all around the world. Now, artists can get inspired by other cultures, styles, and stories, mixing them to create something completely new and more universal. They can express issues that affect everyone, like racism, climate change or mental health, in ways that connect with different audiences. Globalization makes art more diverse and helps artist show that emotions and creativity don't have borders.
