Summary: In this lab students will learn how to grow plants hydroponically. The population is growing rapidly and because of that we are running out of land to grow crops. We have to find other ways to grow the crops we need to survive without using the soil in the ground. The students will also learn about plant life cycles, what plants need to grow, and where food really comes from.

You can use this in the classroom to teach students about growing their own food. This could teach them that plants only need air and water to grow. To change this up for younger students, you could just grow a normal plant. Hydroponics would be a bigger concept that would probably only work for older students.
