Newton's first law is when an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion at a constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force. this was shown in the hoop and marker trick when the marker stayed at rest until the hoop was moved. then the marker stayed in motion until hitting he bottom of the jar.

Mass is the measure of inertia. A small mass is easy to change and a large mass is harder to change. This was shown in the tablecloth trick when some objects moved easier than others like the spoon because it has a small mass. This is when an object stays at rest or goes in motion.

Inertia Inertia is the tendency of
all objects to resist any change in motion. This was shown in table cloth magic because when the cloth was pulled, most of the items stayed because the objects had a heavier mass so that they would be at rest.
