1. El semáforo en rojo: PARAR
Nuestro semáforo se pondrá en rojo cuando reconozcamos que tenemos una de esas emociones contractivas, densas o desagradables. Es el momento de detenernos, de PARAR. Ese parar nos permite tomar conciencia de lo que estamos sintiendo.
Recordemos que para que esto suceda tenemos que tener bien entrenada la atención a las señales que el cuerpo, a través de sus sensaciones, nos está transmitiendo. En este momento nos vendrá bien respirar profundo unas cuantas veces.
2. Si el semáforo está en ámbar: PENSAR
El semáforo se iluminará en ámbar cuando habiendo parado, somos capaces de pensar sobre la situación, interiorizarnos un instante y tomar conciencia de cuál es la mejor manera de responder ante el desafío que suponga lo que está pasando y lo que estamos sintiendo.
3. Con el semáforo en verde: ACTUAR
Por último, el semáforo se pondrá verde cuando habiendo parado y pensado, somos capaces de seguir adelante afrontando la situación de la mejor manera.
Teniendo en cuenta estos tres pasos, le pediremos a nuestro estudiante que dibuje y coloree un semáforo con los tres colores. Lo colocaremos en un lugar que el niño pueda acceder. De esta forma, cuando queramos que sea consciente y regule sus emociones, le pediremos que visualice el semáforo que ha dibujado y pase por los distintos colores.
