Engaged on almost unending battle against Evianta, Ren has been quite experienced with war and blood shed. One evening, he and his troops were ambushed by the Eviantans and thus were caught. They were sentenced to death by being fed to the Tree of Death (a humongous and the only carnivorous tree found in the whole of Etheria, located in the middle of the Kingdom of Evianta and was usually fed with dead bodies and live Eviantans who commits unforgivable crimes; the opposite of this tree is the Tree of Life found only in the middle of the Kingdom of Adamia, its fruits known to cure severe wounds and the gravest of ailments while the tea made from its leaves were able to make its drinker appear more youthful) by the Queen of the enemy country. On the day that he and his remaining soldiers were to be executed and fed, the Pirate Captain Randall and his crew attacked the executioners and just about anyone present in the site, his plan initially was to loot the Evianta Kingdom. He attempts to escape while this was happening, but was captured by one of the Captain's men and was held a prisoner. Randall thought Ren's Kingdom would pay a big price just to get back their officer so he tried to negotiate with the Adamian King. The Kingdom didn't paid heed to Randall, leaving Ren feeling betrayed by his whole country and people.
