The theme of Pictures of Hollis Woods is "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I know this because in the book, Hollis was a girl that was just trying to find a family.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because Hollis was trying to find a perfect family and then she found the Reagans. Another reason why the theme is "Don't judge a book by its cover" because Hollis looked rough, and she always ran away, but inside she was good at many things.

The theme of the book Pictures of Hollis woods is "Don't judge a book by its cover" because in the fifth picture it tells us how Hollis was found on a sidewalk with a blanket and a note that says "Call her Hollis Woods."

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it shows that Hollis has a hard life and also shows that Hollis hasn't learned anything and doesn't know her real family. This doesn't really bother Hollis and Hollis was a bad kid until she finally changed and turned into kind of a good kid.

The theme of the book Pictures of Hollis Woods is "Don't judge a book by its cover." I know that this is the theme because in chapter 3 it states "I didn't much like to look at myself, there was that scar just healed from the accident on the Old Man's mountain."

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because Hollis doesn't want to look at herself in the mirror because of her scar. Hollis is ashamed of her scar, but nobody else is. Everybody else thinks that this is cool.
