The film is directed by Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich, David Silverman. It is starred by John Goodman (Sullivan), Billy Crystal (Mike), Mary Gibbs (Boo), Steve Buscemi (Randall), James Coburn (Waternoose), Jennifer Tilly (Celia), Bob Peterson (Roz), John Ratzenberg (Yeti), Frank Oz (Fungus), Bonnie Hunt (Mrs. Flint). Thisfilm was nominated for the best animated film, for the best soundtrack, the best original song, the best sound editing, but it won the Oscar for the best original song produced by Randy Newman.

The monsters scare children to generate the power of the city. But when a girl contaminates the Monstropolis, the monsters are very afraid. Sully, the top scarer of rhe place, finds his world in danger and he wants to save Monstropolis and the girl. Henry Waternoose and Randall are evil monsters. They want to kill the girl and get Sully out the company.

It normally took 11 to 12 hours to render a single frame of Sulley because of his 2.3 million individually animated hair strands.
When Boo went to bed, we could see that she wrote "Mary" in her drawing. Mary was the actress who played Boo´s voice.
At first, Boo, would be six years bu the writers wanted the girl to be younger because she was more dependent Sully.
Monsters Inc was the las Pixar film that showed bloopers in the credits.
Sully would be a dorrman instead of scarer.
