After Meg dies Cody becomes very determined, persuasive, and brave to solve megs suicide throughout the whole book. She is very thoughtful, caring, and loves to take on challenges 
Meg - The book is mainly about meg and her choices, as in the beginning of the book she commits suicide. Meg was known as the cool girl and the friend with all the good traits. Meg loved bands and exploring outside their tiny town. 
Ben - Ben is sometimes the antagonist, making it hard for Cody to continue her search for answers. He is in a band that meg loved but he hurt Meg telling her to leave him alone when she loved him. Sometimes he helps Cody, but he also distracts her as she doesn't know what her feelings for him are. He loves to have fame but also tries hard for the things he pursues. 
Harry - Harry is a side character who helps Cody with hacking meg's computer to find out what happened with Meg and her discussions with others that she tired to delete. He loves to help but be left alone to do his own thing. 
Alice - Alice is another side character who likes to bake bread and also cares for Cody in a motherly way as she lets her stay at there house and tries to take her places to help. The whole book then takes off from this event driving the characters and their actions
2) Meg's parents asking Cody to go get Meg's belongings - Cody is in a vulnerable moment here because she's scared they are going to ask her why Meg did it, but instead they ask her to grab Meg's belonging, which start Cody's journey for the truth of what happened to Meg and her over the years. 
3) The bar in Seattle - Here Cody meets Ben, the guy who sets off Cody on another emotional roller coaster and new path about answers for why Meg did what she did
4) Cody finding Meg's computer - When Cody finds megs computer she learns all the truth behind many parts of the mystery and also bonds with the roommates through it.

The main conflict in this novel is like a blown circuit because Cody will try to plug herself into knowing Meg, only to get shocked and blown away and not completely let into the truth of what's going on.

The writing style in this novel is like a journal because it follows all of Cody's thoughts and feeling on everything that is happening to her and about the situation.

7 spoons of people walking on glass purposefully, and that glass is privacy that people know they should not care about, but just can’t 
2 teaspoons of bad death jokes that are funny but really shouldn’t be 
6 crumbs of unending love for strangers who are kind and just need a shoulder to rest upon 
1 pinch of many different drugs name that before you know are just wacky scary street names for normal drugs and medicine you know of 
½ smidge of evidence that could make someone a teeny tiny bit aware of something odd for it to then blow up into something huge 
1/18 speck of food to comfort you when everything is turned upside down in the storm 

I would add 3 quarts of warm cafes that are open all night. I would add this because in the book Cody doesn’t have any place to sleep when she leaves home, so she goes and stays the night in cafes. This would affect the story by adding that feeling of warmth and being safe while staying in a world that’s not your own and also its a feeling most people can relate to. 
If I could remove anything, I would remove 1 pinch of many different drugs names that before you know are just wacky scary street names for normal drugs and medicine you know of. I would remove this because this plays only a tiny role in the book and all it would do is make the book less illegal. The book isn’t illegal, it’s just the actions being taken in it are a little.
