Alton Towers works together with the popular businesses such as KFC, pizza hut and burger king as they provide the food at the tourist attraction. Theses popular businesses will make more money rather than an Alton Towers own brand pizza shop as people know what to expect and know what they like at the popular brands and are more likely to buy food at the popular businesses rather than the ones they don’t know.

Alton Towers promotes other attractions in the area and the other attractions also promote Alton Towers by having leaflets of the other attractions and posters and things around the attraction. Alton Towers has
sponsorship with Cadbury which brings money for Alton Towers and Cadburys name's promoted which will also bring them business. However, only Cadbury chocolate can be sold at Alton Towers as its part of the sponsorship. Often sponsorship links are outside of the travel and tourism industry. The benefits
are that Alton Towers gets money which could be put to building new rides or updating existing rides and the company who sponsors the ride will be promoted at Alton Towers which means that the public knows more about the product and service that the company provides and may increase sales, for example Cadburys chocolate sponsors Alton Towers and were given an exclusive contract to provide only there products at the theme park this meant that the Cadbury name and image would be promoted throughout Alton Towers, once people have tried Cadbury’s chocolate and may like it they are more likely to go and buy it in other places which is bringing Cadbury’s business.
