Jen and I moved into a slightly bigger and more open space over Spring Break, which has been very nice given how much time we've spent inside these past weeks. The only problem was, once we moved in, there was no storage space for our stuff like our books, tools, and other things that we don't use on a daily basis. So I decided that I would try to make some shelves.

My first step was to sketch out an idea on paper of what I wanted the shelves to look like. As you can see, one corner has a bunch of one foot boxes, while there are 4 2x3 spaces which surround it. My next step will be buying wood. My current question to explore is how will I fit the wood together?

What are some other home hobbies you want to improve in? Gardening, cooking, sewing?

Jen and I rode our bikes to Ensenada last weekend. We split the ride into 4 days (2 days to get there, 2 days to get back). We brought a bike trailer to bring a tent, our sleeping bags, food, and water. The journey was very arduous! By the time we made it over the huge hill on the toll road, I wasn't sure we were going to be able to make it back to Tijuana. Especially because a part on the trailer broke and I had to used a rope to keep it attached to my bike! But, with really, no other choice, we kept on pushing, and made it back.

My next step will be to continue use my bicycle as my main mode of transportation in Tijuana. My current question is how can I fix my trailer so that it will continue to function as I need it to?

What are some physical activities(inside or outside the home) that you would be interested in doing more of in next couple of months?

There's an organization here in Tijuana I'm really into called Comida no Bombas, which is a huge network of people all over the world that collect food that will get thrown away and make it into delicious food to share with people who are hungry. I hadn't come to volunteer here since last summer, so I knew that I wanted to get involved with them over Spring Break, especially because of the precarious times(there are more hungry people now than ever). We go and pick up food from a local mercado, then we take whatever we get that day and make a delicious meal.

My next step will be to continue to come back to help out here. My question to explore is how can I take on more of a leadership role to best help this organization?

Some other groups who could really use volunteers right now:
https://www.facebook.com/food.not.bombs/
https://sandiegofoodbank.org/volunteer/
https://www.justserve.org/sdcounty
