I like these pieces as the colour scheme flows well throughout, and the range of fonts makes the piece look effective. I think they would be good for quotes within my magazine

I think the shading and illusion of this piece would be good for the heading of a magazine, and would create a formal effect.

I think the font here looks really effective, and would be used well for short amounts of text however it may be harder to read for longer pieces.

I love the use of yellow swirls on this piece, and I think it adds to the atmosphere of the piece. It is closely tied to the font and would be good in advertisements.

I think the style of the font in this piece is really effective and I love the tape-like font. There are two or three font types used and repeated which adds to a simplistic effect. I think something like this would look effective for use in a quote on a double page spread.

These pieces are really effectively set out and I really like the use of graphics and lines around the quotes, however they may not be so effective in a magazine as they're a little hard to read.

I really like the way the text in this piece is blended with the picture, I think the technique could be used effectively in a magazine by blending the text and positioning it around the figure or celebrity in question.

I like the style of this piece and I think it would work well in a music magazine due to the theme of music throughout it, however it seems a little hard to read. I think it would make be good somewhere within the masthead, but not for long pieces of text.

I think I may use this color scheme for my magazine, the orange and blue are bright and contrasting colors and the shades of grey can be used to create an effective gradient. The combination of bright and dark colors should create an effective pattern in my magazine that appeals to a range of audiences.

I love the way the text in this piece is set out and I think the sizing, spacing, and paragraph layout makes a really effective display that is likely to entice an audience. The comparison to the text below, which is much larger, adds to the effect, and would appeal to a slightly more mature audience. The bolding of some words helps highlight the most important parts of the article, and make it easier for readers to follow.
