After 15-year hard work, Sheila has not only supported her siblings to finish their studies but also developed a consuming passion for voluntary community service.

As the chairperson of Gabriela Hong Kong, an alliance of Filipino migrant workers, Sheila helped lots of newcomers to empower themselves by launching educational courses and sharing her own struggles and suffering. 

"My family here is the organization," Sheila said. Nowadays, Sheila also makes public speeches in university to bring the migrant community into public notice.
