CRT is a classroom environment that recognizes the diversity and the classroom whether it is language, race, SES or gender identity and uses that knowledge to build on the strengths of each individual. The teacher is using this knowledge to incorporate a diverse range of references that different cultures can identify with.

Treating different cultures like they are a problem that needs to be solved or changed into something they are not. Also the idea that they are in need of being saved from their cultures ways of doing things. It is not culturally responsive teaching.
