1. a story I've heard is that I talk to/dated a lot of guys but ultimately they just don't know that I have a lot of friends that are guys

1. A single story others have of me is that just because I am black I like fried chicken, and watermelon, and hot fries but in reality I don't really care for chicken and I'm not a big hot fries fan. I don't like hot fries at all.

2. A single story that I used to have is that Mexicans only eat their culture food like enchiladas, or caldo de pollo. I think the dilemma is that when we start thinking about people that way then our mind will keep that mindset and that's what we don't want

1.A single story that i went threw when i was younger was that i would like anything spicy just because i'm Hispanic/Mexican when in reality i could not handle spice.
as well as there were so many growing up since people thought that just because you were hispanic you could run fast.

1. A single story others have of me is that just because in my religion I don't celebrate a lot of holidays, I automatically don't go to parties. Which is not true.

2. A single story I used to have was that high school was going to be like high school musical. But it obviously isn't.

1) A single story that I have noticed that others have about me is that they look at me and think "oh look, a girl! let me go ahead and stereotype them in every way that i can think of." which is wrong, their assumptions are incorrect, and it is saddening to see that that's how others perceive girls.
2) Steps I have taken to challenge these single stories is by telling whoever said such things that they are incorrect, and just because they think their assumption is correct doesn't mean it is.

1. One single story that I have noticed is that people will assume that me or my family are undocumented because we are Mexican. When in reality we were all born here and my grand-parents have green cards.

2. Somethings I have taken to avoid single stories is not to assume and get to know the person or the situation before I make my mind up on it.

1. A single story others have of me is because i have tattoos i'm a rebellious person or a 'crazy' person which in reality im not im a very calm person .

2.A single story i used was that because you're family with someone that bond will never break or you're family will never do you wrong but that's not true you can never trust anyone.

1. A single story that others have of me might be that they don't see me as a Latina/Hispanic because my skin is lighter, they believe that all Hispanics have a much darker skin color though in reality not all Hispanics/Latino(a)s have the same color of skin

1. A single story that others have of me is that I'm mean because I appear mean and don't talk to many people. This causes many people to be scared to talk to me because they think I'll be mean to them. However, in reality, most of my friends view me as nice and funny.
