As you may know the British taxed the colonies. King George iii did this to get money to get out of dept from war . These taxes included sugar act, stamp act, townshend act, the quartering act, and the tea act. The sugar act taxed sugar. The stamp act taxed printed things on paper. The townshend act taxed house hold items. The quartering act let British stay in colonists houses and eat their food.
