2. "none of the beaten end up how we began" 
-this line in the poem is considered most successful to me because i feel it wraps up the entire poem. Its stating that once your abused you will never be the same which is what i believe she was trying to say the whole poem.
3. I think 'home' is the most important word in this poem. the definiton of home is 'the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.' the poem suggests the home isn't always a happy, safe place. it defines home as a place where her father is abusive and it causes her mother to 'wheep'. some people think of people as 'home' not an actual house and the author could be refering to her mother as home. 
4. I don't feel any line in the poem should change. The poem tells a story perfectly with a structure. line after line go together strongly and continue the story on but still holding structure. there's a constant flow, there's already plenty of unexpected lines.
5. I think he called these poems 'Duplex' because they could be a cause and effect. The abuse could have led to rape or the other way around. would watching the film 'For Colored Girls' after reading the book make you feel differently about certain characters, if so which characters?
answer;
I feel if i watched the film I would feel more emotions towards the women who went through more difficult things such as rape because I could I physically see the emotions and feels and hear the pain in her voice.

do the characters story match up together in the end or is the book one big lesson from different characters?

the book 'For Colored Girls' explains and shows the struggles to be a colored woman, how and where do you feel the book couldve gone more in depth?
answer;
I feel the book could've went more depth about the women considering suicide. I feel if they put in the book how the women overcame the thoughts of suicide would make the book even more powerful. The book states so many struggles women and more specifically women of color face which helps women not feel so alone if theyre in one of those situations but it doesnt state how to be okay after these things happen. The book just leaves off with that the women considered suicide continued on but I feel stating how they overcame that feeling would amplify the power of the book.

She came from an extremely wealthy family where no one questioned what went on behind closed doors. Her father was a businessman who was only home on friday nights and her mother owned many companies. They were the picture perfect family. The mom had perfect ivory skin and long lean legs. Her mother was the woman everyone wanted or wanted to be. Her father was extremely buff with smooth chocolate skin. He has much street credit from back in the day. The golden lady had perfect tan skin with glowing green eyes as well as the bubbly personality everyone knew her for. The perfect family
Little did everyone know every friday when he father came home from work he would sexual assault the golden woman. She dreaded coming home every Friday but she didn’t let anyone see her pain. She was the golden girl, she couldn’t mess up her bubbly personality. One friday she decided to break the cycle and not come home until he was gone saturday morning. She stayed at a friends house. She thought she was safe but she wasn’t. Her father found her and tried to break into her friend's house. The golden girl had no choice and she ran into her friend's fathers bedroom and grabbed his rifle and shot him. She killed him. she was no longer shining. she was crashing and burning. 

The theme of this story is to never fake happiness, find help. this theme goes with For Colored Girls because the golden lady thought of suicide because of her father but she got through it even though it wasn’t the ideal way as most of the women in the story. 

my inspiration came from the poem Beau Willie Brown excepted her abuser died unlike crystal who lost her children to her abuser.
