आज सिख प्रतिनिधिमंडल से मुलाकात में पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि सिख भारत से बाहर, मां भारती की बुलंद आवाज हैं, बुलंद पहचान हैं। दुनिया के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में बिना किसी संसाधन के हमारे भारत के लोग गए और अपने श्रम से सफलता के मुकाम हासिल किए। यही स्पिरिट आज नए भारत की स्पिरिट बन गई है। कनाडा, ईरान और फ्रांस सहित विभिन्न देशों की यात्राओं के दौरान प्रवासी सिखों से हुई अपनी मुलाकातों को याद करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि मैं भी वह विदेश दौरों पर जाता हूं, तो मुझे सिखों के संगत का सौभाग्य मिलता है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘सिख समुदाय ने भारत और दूसरे देशों के रिश्तों की कड़ी बनने का काम किया है।’
