Feedback is also a huge part of this model which is key to overall comprehension. Feedback is huge for me as an educator and it is something I am always trying to effectively complete when facilitating activities.

I do however enjoy the simplicity of the model and what it has to offer my current classroom.One of my main goals as an educator is to make sure my students are actively engaged and motivated in their learning. My sixth graders struggle with lessons that are not motivating and do not peak their interests. I very much like the idea of activity based versus presentation based curriculum for my students. This is crucial to a classroom of students that need to work together to hash out project based assignments. I know that our biggest setback or struggle is funding. We are committed to making sure that our district provides technological resources that strengthen our curriculum. It is doing its best to expand technology evenly across the district so that each school is successful. Consistent and adequate funding is something that I would consider to be a present burden to our district. My current learning environment is very different from how it was a few years ago. They can apply their own creativity to project based activities that I will use to support my innovations. I also want to promote a student centered classroom in which the teacher facilitates learning through open ended questions that allow a variety of answers. Students will not be expected to respond with one product. A variety of processes will be used in order to respond to various questions. I want to remember that incorporating the 21st century learning skills does not simply mean to automate traditional activities. A five slide powerpoint instead of a handmade poster does not encourage the students to think at a deeper level. Changes at this level do not challenge students to dig more deeply into the content. How do students think more deeply? Instructional models like these can easily be implemented into any 21st century classroom. These models allow you to design your objectives and skills in a way that fits your your educational needs. There are many models to choose from and each one offers an entirely different approach. In considering the background of your students, you are taking the time to plan what is going to be taught and how you are going to teach it. Students prior knowledge and background play a huge role in this beginning phase. Our students are fully aware of media and crave this form of communication. Students are like sponges absorbing each tiny morsel of technology.
