         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>Thesis:</mark></strong> Based on the passages ,three causes and effects of technology on society are ,children are spending a lot of time on the internet ,causing them to lose their social skills ,kids are losing their ability of reading emotions ,because people only look at education wise and students that don't have technology grow in lost skills.<br>Children are spending a lot of time on the internet, causing them to lose their social skills.<br><br></div><div><strong><mark>Evidence #1:</mark></strong> Passage 1 states, "Children's social skills may be declining as they have less face to face interaction due to their increased use of social media, according to a UCLA psychology study".</div><div>Kids are losing their ability to read emotions because people are only looking at technology only for educationally-wise.</div><div><mark>Evidence #2:</mark>Passage 3 states " Many people are looking at the benefits of digital media in education and not many are looking at the costs, said Patricia Greenfield, as distinguished professor of psychology in the UCLA College and senior author of the study".</div><div>Students that don't have technology grow in lost abilities. </div><div><mark>Evidence #3:</mark>Passage 3 states,"The children who had been at the camp improved significantly over the five days in their ability to read facial emotions and other nonverbal cues to emotion, compared with the students who continued to use their media devices".</div>]]></description>
