the photos I've chosen for the 1920s is the difference in outfits between Victorian women and flappers. there is a huge difference between the two outfits wore by these people. Victorian women's outfits are very proper and fancy. Victorian women are not aloud to shoe any type of skin so they are expected to wear long dresses that go out to their feet and that cover their back and etc. Flappers on the other hand are more careless about their outfit choices. they tend to still look pretty fancy but their dresses are usually much shorter then then Victorian women's clothing. flappers went out wearing clothing that shows off their skin and even wore makeup which was a disgrace to many people. flappers and Victorian women's still were similar in some ways even though they may seem so different. they both were still pretty proper and dressed quite fancy, and they still had to play the roll as a mother or a wife once they were married or had children.
