It also base on God on how we treat and see the people who has disabilities. Its is either Curse or Blessing

While the Biomedical/Individual model view the people with disability has a failure or organ when they are still in the process of developing as human. Biomedical/Individual Model believes that when it has a disability, they need a treatment.

It is more understandable and clear to us the various reasons on how we should see a person with a disability that we should not judge them on who they are so here are the models to better show and explain to us the things we should think and feel about people with disabilities he makes it clear that we should think that they are a blessing from the lord to treat and take care of them because they are special and we should understand them if whether they do things wrong or right so it has a big impact on how we look at people with disabilities based on this model that can better understand how we should look at them as a person with disability.

In my own understanding, moral/religious model explain to us how we view a disability, in here GOD is the powerful being that created everything on this earth, so every person believes that if one member of your family has disability then your family is considered a sinner, since GOD gave you a son/daughter or whoever in your family a disability, people says that it is a cursed since you made GOD angry, but some view it as a blessings since they said GOD gave it to you because he knows that you can do it, we also view this as a gift from GOD if we can take care and made a development to those who have disability. Moral/Religious Model affects us on how we view disability based on how we interpret it as the judgement of God. People tend to discern disability as curse or a blessing. When people think who bore children with disability is the exchange for doing something wrong, they considered it as a curse. If they think it is a blessing, people see children with disability as a gift and always put and extra care on those people. On the other hand, biomedical/individual model affects us people to view people with disability as people who needs to be aided. It enlightens the people that disability is a serious situation that needs to be taken care of using medication. Moral/religious model somehow shows subjective view of persons with disability, as this model is based on their thoughts and opinions. Biomedical/individual model illustrates objectivity as it considers findamental truths.

These two model show two sides of the coin, where it represent how we see people with disability. However, always remember to respect and accept each and every person with disability whatever models you believed in.

Many people might have their own views regarding what disability is, and after the discussion regarding the models of disability i learned that there are different perspectives in explaining what is disability and how it really happening. We have what we call the moral/religious model where people tend to look at disabilities as a blessing or in a negative way as a curse or karma. The Moral/Religious Model refers to our own belief or religious belief, and we tend to think of people with disabilities as either a curse or a blessing. Curse in the sense that some people believe that having a disabled child is a sign that the parents are sinners, and blessing in the sense that it is still a life, which is the most precious gift that God has given us or, to be more precise, I can say that we tend to think of people with disabilities as an instrument that is actually a blessing. Instrument in the sense that God has given them to you for a reason, such as to help you care for them or to help you learn or realize something. In short, we tend to view them because of our religious beliefs. Next up is the Biomedical Model; the first thing that came to mind when I heard about the short and easily understood differences between this and the Moral Model was the differences between science and the Bible. In here, we see people with disabilities as having a serious illness, and we believe we can cure them and transform them into a normal person, or simply, it is stating the truth, and here, I understand that we are intellectually correct but not polite.

Disability is something that someone is not capable of doing/performing some things. Means, people with disability have their own limitations. Thus, with this, we do share different views about it. Likewise, we have these models of disability that called moral /religious, and biomedical / individual model. Now, the question is, in our own understanding, how does these two models of disability explains how we view disability?
Personally speaking, religious and biomedical models are not that new to me. I have a certain knowledge about how does these people born with imparements. In terms of moral/religous point of view, I knew that being born with imparement has something to do with your past behavior just like, a man is born with an hearing imparement because they say that his mother is always shares gossip, and so on and so forth. However, I didn't have a single idea that in this model, being a person with disability can be an easy pass for you to be accepted at heaven. All I know about it is that it is a curse for their family/parents.

On the other hand, with the biomedical / individual model, personally speaking, I am strongly believing that it is a parent's accountability on why does they do have a child with disability. Somehow it is because of their irresponsibility to take care of the child inside the womb, maybe a mother stressed out because of her husband and whatnot. Additionally, it is indeed justify my view about it in terms of it can be passed genetically. If a family has a member of a person with disability, they can pressume that in the next generation of their family, there is a person who will inherit that kind of genes that they have.

To finalize, these models helped me to deeply understand about the disability history. It gives me assurance of information, it added new information, and it makes me sad that somehow, some bad conclusions about these person is trully happening to them just like treating them as a disease, and a bad luck to the family.

In my opinion, the biomedical/individual model views disability as a "medical problem." It is portrayed as perceiving disability as a personal problem caused by disease, trauma, or another health condition that need long-term medical care in the form of personalized therapy by specialists.

This model regards disability as a medical illness that affects people and focuses on avoiding, treating, or curing the disabling disease.
But here's the thing: I hope we're not only looking at the disability of a person in biological terms as something that needs to be cured or fixed, but as individuals who are distinct and one-of-a-kind in their own way. Yes, a person with a disability may have limits, but there is something about them that standout from the rest.

Persons with impairments in Moral and religious model, in my own understanding, are bad individuals who have most certainly done something wrong at some time in their life. In my moral perspective, having a disability was a punishment from God. It refers to the idea that people are ethically responsible for their own disabilities. For example, if the disability is genetic, it may be considered as a result of poor parenting, and if it is not, it may be viewed as a result of committing witchcraft.

In my own understanding these two models of disability deals between SCIENCE VS. RELIGION.

When we view the moral/religious model, it is all about CURSE or a BLESSING to GOD. Curse when someone believes that the reason why they have a disable child/family member because of the result of their wrong doing against GOD and immorally act, it’s their KARMA to get what they deserve. For starters, we have many differences as an individual including having another person with a disability perform a task that a normal person can do or have no disability.

Moral/Religious and Biomedical/Individual model explains that disability has an origin and sometimes it is because karma, compensation, luck or maybe having special needs is accompanied by luck in other things. In other words, having a disability often also has a positive effect, for example, other people who are visually impaired but are blessed with singing and music skills. In addition, disability is also sometimes an eye opener in society where they serve as an inspiration to others who are normal but weak in spirit or are easily discouraged if they just feel a trial in their lives.

So let's accept them and still consider them part of our society because they also have feelings and the right as a human being to live in peace and be treated right.

To simply put my own understanding on how does these two-model helped me out to view disability more clearly. I would say that “Sometimes disability becomes your ability” because I have witnessed few people with their severe illness disability who are working 24/7 like their life depends on it and they are really inclined/excellent on being capable to do something with their chosen work. By this it changes to the way I think of them and we should stop doubting their capacity and capability on making impossible to possible actions that they may possessed already that in the eyes of the Lord they are perfectly imperfect. In my own understanding Learning Disability is a disorder in which the child has difficulty with daily activities. It is usually seen at the beginning of a child or student who has difficulty in school such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, reasoning, and recalling. In fact, they often have difficulty focusing in one activity because it can be easily interrupted by something and also, they have difficulty processing language or they have difficulty understanding or interpreting oral and visual messages. In addition, they sometimes invert the word or numbers and this causes a child to have lack of understanding and it became a barrier to learned new skills, it also, undergo a lot of pain and emotional support to reflect the level of behavior.

But even a child have this kind of condition, it doesn't mean they can't be a normal child, she/he have a unique talents that they can be proud of and that will be their strength to others. Some child have called "Late Bloomers" because of this condition and as a teacher and individual, all we have to do is accept the problem children face and give them the right support they need. After all, every child is valuable.

Learning disability is a problem or difficulty of a child's in writing, reading, speaking, spelling or to do mathematical calculations. When a child has difficulty to write, read, speak and spell, this child has a learning disability, wherein she/he need our patience to understand them. The possible cause of having learning disability is the pregnancy stage of the mother, maybe she may have taken medicine or alcohol while she was pregnant with the child.

Learning disabilities affect the ability to understand what one sees and hears or to link information from different parts of the brain. Children have difficulty with certain skills such as reading or writing, as do individuals with normal intelligence, and they have their own IQ to learn what they want.It's hard for them to think faster and make decisions because the capacity of their brain is not enough to think like an ordinary or normal person. There is something wrong with their brains that they have.

In my opinion, when we talk about learning disabilities, we're talking about a person's challenges in expressing their thoughts in words and speaking what they want to say, which might have an impact on their learning and academic achievement. Furthermore, having a learning disability acts as a barrier to learning, causing the individual to become slow in reasoning skills, making it harder for them to absorb new concepts and ideas. Finally, we can state that a person has a learning disability if he or she has persistent challenges over a long period of time.
