As we navigated this roller-coaster of a year, you turned up to class weekly with masks and most importantly a sense of humour. 

You entertained this teacher such that every lesson was a joy. I do not know what you took away from my lessons other than my immense hatred for marshmallows, but I left our lessons with the knowledge that here lies another batch that will conquer their world and achieve things I can but dream of.

I will, l through you, do so much for those whose lives you will enhance. 

I look forward to living many adventures vicariously through you as you go from one success to the next. 

but... I hope you text me when life throws you a curve ball as well. 

Though I might not always reply to your texts immediately, I hope you know I want to but with old age comes forgetfulness so I seek your pardon.

Wherever life takes you, remember to enjoy the journey. One day you will be that doctor, lawyer, nurse, painter, baker, owner of the biggest start up, inventor of the robot who grades papers... whatever is your calling... I will send my congratulations in advance but remember this old teacher will be back to collect her debt,
