I like the idea of keeping a learning diary. I used to keep notes, the old-fashioned way, when following a MOOC, but this digital diary is better I think.

So, here I am, Maria from Crete Greece, teacher of agricultural sciences in a rather small vocational high school.

Being involved in etwinning for the last 5 years has offered me endless oportunities to develop my own digital skills and I consider myself one of the few mostly e-skilled teachers in my school. I've tried many times to integrate technology into my teaching, dragging my students to practices that they had never faced before in school, but I'm still disappointed with the result. The level of technological infrastructure of my school doesn't help either. I'll keep trying though and this MOOC is for me a chance to get more practical ideas on how to help my students develop their digital skills.

The whole world is changing, so why shouldn't work change too? It's a bit scaring but it's happening. New generations won't see anything negative in it, it will just be their reality. Great presentation.

I believe that apart from the jobs that are related to technology, there will be real demand on kind people that will take care of the elderly. The age of technology forgets the human factor, the emotional part of our existence. I'm afraid that more and more people will die alone and emotionally neglected.

I think that this video is perfect to use in my "vocational guidance" courses. But unfortunately my students cannot realize yet the importance of a good interview. They certainly need such course during the last year of studies, when they are more mature.

While listening to Ollie, I thought: "Were previous generations so worried about future?" Change is scaring but inevitable. So, it's really important to focus on the 5 principals that Ollie mentioned:

Values - Resilience - Embrace change - Innovation - Remaining positive

I think that I'm already moving in the right direction in my school. Staying connected with like-minded teachers helps me a lot and that's why I love etwinning, the community of innovative teachers.

A useful tool that Google has is to search by (not for) an image. You can use this when you want to identify an image, and possibly its source.

Go to image search, and drag the image into the search bar. Google than searches for a match of that image and generates best matching search query.

My greatest problem concerning the development of my digital skills is TIME. I need more than 24 hours a day. I learn fast, I like learning new things, tools, methods but my time restricts either the number of the new things that I learn or the implementation of what I learn in my teaching.

I love the possibilities that the digital world offers but trying to follow it in full pace I feel that I become a victim of it. Life is so short....so I chose to develop each time the simple digital skill that I need at a particular moment.

I see more disadvantages than advantages. All these "...can make us more and more efficient" on what? Serving who? On what cost? Do technology and connectivity create well-being for everybody or do they create more social injustice? How many schools in the world can offer such kind of education? Where is sustainability?
