           Americans won the war against Britain! America was fighting for there freedom for years and they finally got it.The British were ranked among the best trained in the world but the Americans still won. The Americans had advantages from winning the war, like better leadership, foreign aid, knowledge of land, and motivation that the British didn't have. They also won favorable terms in the Treaty of Paris after winning the war. The U.S was independent. When the war ended 27,500 Americans died in war and 1,400 remained missing. The government gave some soldiers certificates instead of back pay because of all the debt they had to pay. The war left the nation with debt  of about 25 million. People claimed there land so many loyalists didn't have homes.
