         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before WW1 started Russia allied themselves with Britain and France as well as the newly formed Serbia.<br><br>The Austrians became mad at the Serbians after a Serbian national shot and killed the Archduke to the Austrian throne.<br><br>Serbia asked Russia for help due to the Austro-Hungarian army concentrating in the Serbian frontier making it impossible for them to defend themselves with out help.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Lastly many men were being drafted into the war from farms and factories.<br><br>Nicholas decides to take command of the army when the enemy starts to penetrated the interior of the empire.<br><br>Around 1,700,000 Russian died in WW1</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Nicholas when to fight in WW1 he left his wife Czarina Alexandra in charge of the country.<br><br>Rasputin had the influence he did over the czarina because she believed that only he could save her son Alexi from a genetic disease.<br><br>Document G show's that the Czarina didn't listen to her advisors when they brought up concerns about Rasputin.<br><br>In order to kill Rasputin the royal family poissened his food and shot him 3 time they then tossed his body in a frozen river.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Workers displayed there unhappiness by going on strike this later turned into riots where food was stolen from stores. In addition to the workers soldiers joined in on the strikes leaving their post and refusing to keep order.<br><br>The troops reacted to the violence by joining in on the strikes and refusing to keep order.<br><br>Abdicating the throne means that the czar was giving up his power.<br><br>Nicholas left the throne to his brother the Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In October of 1917 Lenin and his followers begin to take over St Petersburg.<br><br>The red army supported the Bolsheviks since they were called the Red Bolshevik Army.<br><br>The white army was against the Bolsheviks since they were called the White anti-Bolshevik forces.<br><br>In order to keep power the Bolsheviks persecuted any anti revolutionist no matter what. They also brought all counter revolutionaries before the Revolutionary tribunal to find a way to fight them  All this was to find any counter revolutionist and stop what they were doing.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nicholas and his family were moved to Ekaterinburg because of the growing fear that the white army was advancing to set them free from their house arrest before Nicholas's trial.<br><br>In the end the royal family was exacuted in the basement of the house they were in during the middle of the night.<br><br>According to Document D the heir Alexi was the last to die in the exacution.</div>]]></description>
