We notice that Calpurnia teaches Scout some lessons, almost like she is her mother. Discuss someone other than your parents who have taught you at least one important lesson in life. What was the lesson?

My sister is basically another mom to me, shes taught me that not all things in life can happen my way. I used to think that if you would make a mistake it would happen like in the movies you cry and your parents comfort you, sadly it doesn't work that way. My sister had to sit down with me and had to tell me in a way I would understand. Not everything would do my way or easily get off the hook with bad situations or not to expect what the next day would be like because it happens naturally.

My 8th grade elective teacher, taught me how to be a leader, and how to stick up for myself. I normally let people walk all over me and take advantage of me, and one day she noticed and pulled me aside after class and told me to speak up for myself, and not let people take advantage of me. I've been working on it for a while, and she's given me some good tips, I always tell people yes no matter what the consequence and she told me I need to start being able to say No. This has slowly helped me a lot since then.

I remember an example when I was really tired after a long practice and didn't think I could do one more turn, but my coach told me to be strong so I told myself to be strong, got up, and finished strong.

She taught me a very big life lesson. When she turned 16 she got her first car it was completely custom and she loved it. She also went to school that didn't have the best influences. She had a boyfriend that was a very big trouble maker. She was constantly sneaking out to go see him, and she eventually got caught. When she got caught my parents took away her car because she was doing it for about 4 months. She taught me to just obey my parent's rules no matter how much I might not like them.

My older sister taught me that you can't give everyone your trust. Not everyone you meet in life will have your back. There is only a select few of people that you meet that will actual be a real friend. Almost like a family member and the reason why I understood that is because when i was in the kindergarten, a kid named Henry who i thought was my friend lied on me and put a pocket knife in my back pack. But i guess he forgot his name was on it. All in all, he ended up getting in trouble not me.

She also taught me how to be "competitive" in the classroom by always complimenting another student about their handwriting/penmanship. That pushed me to write better than everyone in the class. From that moment on, I always had the best penmanship in the entire class.
