    • Music is overall louder

          • Was like poetry
          • Sometimes the music was not that good but the lyrics were monumental

  • Bob Dylan was the first artist to combine electric instruments with folk music  with his single “Like a Rolling Stone” and performing it at the Newport Folk Festival
    • Everyone HATED it at first. They hated the idea of messy rock combining with folk
  • His fans called him a betrayer and other words
  • The purpose of this music i the same as the purpose of folk revival. These artists were tired of the same old folk music and wanted to try it in a different way
