This link is an example of an infographic that I made on the google tool "Google Drawings". This tool has so many different kinds of uses. For example you could create timelines, graphs, Venn diagram, and the list goes on.

The example that I made was for a reading class. I used Charlottes Web as an example and after the conclusion of reading the book, each student would create an infographic about the main topics of the book, then they would "sell" their book to their peers.

Formative is an interactive presentation that not only allows for you to teach the lesson, but let you add in different points in the presentation where you can have instant feedback from your students. The website emphasizes asses, teach, practice, and engage. This way your students can be actively involved in the learning process.

I would love to use this for any kind of lesson and make it a daily thing of at least one subject. This would allow me to get instant feedback and be super flexible during my lesson to make sure all my students are understanding. I think I would specifically use this during the lessons that are crucial for later lessons and are the building blocks of the unit. This way I am able to make sure we are all on the same page and I can go back if I need to reteach something.

IMovie is a great tool that a lot of students are familiar with. This is a place where students can create videos, whether it's an infomercial or a trailer or anything else you can get creative with. I movie has a lot of good features where students can have a presentation type project that just plays, or they can insert their own videos to create something. I love the creative freedom with IMovie and it all comes down to a good promo from the teacher, and the students will take that and run with so many creative ideas.

I used this tool quite a bit when I was in elementary/middle school and I loved it. The stunts are very engaged and creative. I think I would use it to have my students create a commercial or trailer. The fun thing about this tool is that you can find any way to use it in any subject really, so the opportunities are endless!

Gamma is an AI based tool where you are able to have it create various resources like a presentation, website, document, or social. With this, you have to give it input of what you want it to create and once it is created, you need to carefully review it and make sure that the information is reliable.

One way that I would specifically use this would be to help me create a presentation. Sometime you just need a little help to get ideas flowing, and this is a great way to have a presentation created and then go in and add or take out information based on that. This way you can incorporate the ideas you had with other ideas that may help enhance the knowledge.

One tool that I found that would be great for student-centered instruction would be Prezi. This is a very interactive way to build a slideshow or interactive lesson that moves the students through in such a fun way. You can also make infographics or videos.

For me as a teacher, I think this would be a great option when you are doing station rotations. This allows you to guide the exact content as if you were teaching it, but the students are allowed to go through at their own pace. It also allows the interactive piece, so it puts more responsibility onto them. Not only could I have a slideshow, but I could also make a video of myself or an infographic. It is good to keep it very content based, but gives them some freedom still.

I am elementary education with a biology minor. I feel as if each of my applications are specific to elementary kids and specifically how I can use them in my future classroom. I also tried to be comprehensive over the subjects and find different ways to apply technology as a whole in my classroom

Notebook LM is similar to Gamma. It takes information from the input you give and creates a multitude of outlets. You can create a radio talk about all of the information, discussion questions, study guides, and lots more. The only information that it uses is the information from the resources you give it. That could be videos, PDFs, articles, or really anything that you can find.

I would use this in my classroom to help implement differentiation, specifically for learning styles. I love that it has an audio option for students who learn that way. I would also provide fill in the blank notes, discussion questions, and different forms of study guides. I would also have it create more hands-on activities. This way I can have all of the information the same because it uses the same resources, but a variety of learning outlets are made. It would bring the consistency aspect of the material into the differentiation.

Gim kit- teacher led study tool/recall tool

This tool is called Snorkl. It allows you as the teacher to create an online, interactive classroom. You can find activities based on similar curriculum provided by the tool, or you can create your own. In the students perspective, they can answer in many ways like drawing, writing, or inserting pictures.

In my classroom, this tool could be useful to engage the students after the teacher directed instruction. It allows some freedom within the questions and assigned problems. I could assign them to do certain ones and then have them choose a certain amount of "free choice" problems. I like the guided freedom options that this allows.

One tool on Canva that can be used for student based instruction is the comic strip tool. This allows students to add a creative spin onto research that they do.

One way that I would use this to make it inquiry based is making it into a research project. I would have a topic, like famous person, and then they would do all of the research on that persons life and make a comic book about their life. Maybe I am doing a history unit and let them pick someone famous from that time period. This is an alternative way to me just talking at them about the famous people on the time period we are on and they are looking into someone that they found interest in.

In this activity, I was able to interview a teacher who currently uses technology in her classroom and get her perspective. She teaches language arts, so hearing how she used it was interesting. When they have writing projects, she lets them type it out for efficiency, but she likes to print it out and grade on paper. She also has a couple of websites where they have weekly homework to work on vocab and sentence structures. Lastly, on a daily basis she uses google classroom which allows her to assign things and the students can check off and turn in their work there. I enjoyed getting her perspective, especially in that subject area.

book creator

Book Creator is a fun, collaborative activity that can keep your students engaged. It is an online book that can be done as a class or individually.

I found some fun ways to use Book Creator. One idea is for an animal research project and you could do it a couple different ways. The first one is as a class, each student can fill out a page about an animal. The second option would be each student makes their own book about their animal they did research on. Another option for this book is making a book on topics in class. For example, if the unit is ecosystems, your students can make an ongoing book and each page is a graphic organizer of that ecosystem. By the end, they have an ecosystem book.

Google Earth is a tool that allows you to use a map of the earth and pin different places. You can add descriptions and import pictures/videos for each pin. It is a wonderful, interactive tool that you could make as a tool for your students, or your students could create something themself.

I would use google earth to go through an ecosystem exploration. Not only would they visually be able to see where each ecosystem would be in the world, but from there I would add in links for them to go and explore and even paddle links for ten to put in what they learned before going to another ecosystem. This allows the students to explore and look into each ecosystem where they want instead of the passive learning when it is teacher-directed.

With this module, I researched into different kinds of technology tools and applications that I can use and explore in my future classroom.

This was good to use for gaining perspectives from different kinds of people and seeing what works and if I would want to use it or not.

Classkick is a tool that allows you to make the assignment and then follow along with what your students are doing. It is more of a student-centered approach to the formative feedback. They are individually working through the assignment, but as the teacher you can see all of your students progress and give individual feedback. Students can also see their peers work and ask questions and interact with each other.

Using this as a formative assessment would be a nice switch up from the usual, everyday assignments. I could see myself using it for science, math, social studies, or even language art because there are so many features that give it variety. This would be a good way to end the class period to allow them to get their work done in class and get instant feedback from you and their peers.

This technology helps my students to review materials in a more fun and engaging way. There are a couple of different ways this could be applied, but in the presentation, I show ways that this could be used as teacher-directed instruction or student-centered based on how you prefer to use it in your classroom.

Mentimeter is a way for you to have a presentation, but have points throughout it to stop and have the students answer questions or take a poll. This way you are able to gain data on you students right then and there.

I think I would try to utilize this as one of my go to presentation modes because it adds to the lecture beyond me just talking the whole time. It allows for more interaction and hands on learning, which at the elementary level is super important.

A good tool for summative assessment is called Floop. This tool allows for students to take a picture and submit work, and you can mark it up and give instant feedback. This is a good subtitution to grading the paper copy because it allows you to do this wherever and the students can get feedback instantly and fix the problems immediately. Another feature is anonymous peer feedback. This is a good way for students to learn this skill of assessing their peers work.

I think that this is a good tool to use every once in a while to switch things up. I think there is value in face to face peer review or feedback from the teacher, but this is a good way to use the feedback loop and give the students time to get instant feedback that they can go in and fix. I also like the aspect of self assessment where they can evaluate their own work and look through it that way.

This website gives so many options of AI tools that help to either grade or generate assessments. I wanted to put in this whole website because there are so many good tools, but there were a few that stood out to me from this website.

Something as simple as a question generator helps to generate questions for your summative assessments is great. For the longest time I thought that the teacher has to think of all of these assessments by themself, but through this class and a couple other classes, I have realized how many great tools and resources there are for teachers to use. Another one I saw was Edutor AI which is a tool for your students so they can have AI create some good student tools like flashcards or quizzes.

Flippity.net is adds some fun the assessment. There are so many options for games and creative aspects where you can use as an assessment instead of paper pencil. This could be formative or summative assessments.

I would utilize this to switch it up. I would find a game that relates to what we are learning, or even take it as a brain break. I also think this is a good tool to use as an activity is you have students finish their work early. Either point them to a couple of games that they could do relating to the content, or letting them chose, depending on what your goal is for them.

Pixton is a tool where the students can step into their creativity and write a story/comic. It allows creativity in the writing and visual aspects of their learning. They are able to show understanding in a new way.

I like this tool as a switch up. I think there is something valuable in students creating comics with pen and paper, but I think this tool is something the students would enjoy. I think this tool is a lower level SAMR application, but is a good option to allow creative freedom. I would not utilize it all the time, but every once in a while.

This is a resource for me as the teacher. This allows me to add in my content and from there it creates assessments or questions or study tools. This way I can use the exact information from my lesson, but save time on the creation aspect.

Kahnmigo is a great resource for teachers to use. It is pretty similar to MagicSchool where there are built in tools. For example there is a tool to make an exit ticket for you, and many others. This helps tremendously to get a good start on making these, and then looking over them to make small changes here or there.

There will be formative assessments throughout the lesson like the group activities and group discussions. The food web they make with their group will also be an assessment type, but the main “summative” assessment will be their exit ticket where they answer the questions about their ecosystem because yes they can show their learning in the group things, but the exit ticket shows each individual knowledge and no one else’s.
