 Mrs. Renwick asks Violet what she will do when she grows up Violet remembers what Chloe said that Flossie will always have a place in her heart, so she says I want to be a reporter in the trenches. Mrs. Renwick says no women should be in trenches they should marry a man and get children she asks how many Violet will have, and she knows seven is impressive she says, seven impressive Mrs.Renwick says then they get candy, 2 tootsie rolls.

At another place, Theo is told, Myrtle can only be served in the alley, and after trying multiple places, they end up eating in an alley because Myrtle isn't allowed to eat anywhere else.
