How to enter:

Using inspiration from our resource hub, create a book and write a story inspired by the global tales of nature explored.

By completing the Global Tales of Nature activity and sharing photos of your creations with us, you will be entered into a draw to win one of FIVE (5) prizes of £50 National Book Tokens for your school. 
 
The competition will run from 9am on 3 March to 5pm on 25 April 2025. While children under the age of 18 can enter, the entry must be submitted by an adult and permission must be obtained from the parent or guardian prior to entry. 
 
We’ll decide on the winners of the prize by filtering out all incomplete entries, and then selecting FIVE (5) winners at random. We will do this by assigning a number to each entry and drawing random numbers from an online random number generator. Prizes will be awarded in accordance with the laws of chance and, if required by law or regulation, under the supervision of an independent observer. 

Each entrant (an adult over 18) is only permitted to submit ONE entry to the competition upon completion of the activity, although a single entry may consist of several works created by multiple students.

Entries received that exceed this limit will be invalid and will not be entered into the competition. 

Please don’t share photos of children, or personal information such as children’s names. You may need to use a transfer tool, if you’re sending large files. 

The British Library may share entries on Social Media and publish them on our Discovering Children’s Books  website.
