This assignment was of course more personal to me and to all the others within the class. Just looking back on myself in the months prior, not much has changed. I did go on the Jays Trip and it was very fun. I feel like I am finishing high school on a positive note before going into the University Of Toronto. If I were to do this again, I would have made this a lot more vibrant, more colour.

This is my resubmitted nameplate, I would like this to be remarked as this one is a lot better than the one I originally submitted. I like how I filled all the space with things that interest me. I would have liked to include more original photos of mine but I felt the things that mainly interest me I didn't have pictures of. I'm proud of what I was able to do in this assignment.

Purchasing A Camera

I feel that I did what was required in this assignment, I researched 3 cameras extensively and compared them (not in screenshot) and I feel that I made a great choice going with Option 2 because it was significantly cheaper than Option 1 and 3 and I feel that it would be easier to use. Overall, a useful assignment in my opinion to help us get more familiar with the different camera models out there.

A Photo Gallery

This assignment helped me see the different types of principles of composition in photography. My favourite one I used was probably the iconic Beatles album cover with the pattern on the crosswalk. This album is loved by my grandparents so it holds personal connection to me. Overall, this assignment was helpful in our unit of photography.

This is an assignment that personally frustrated me because I felt I should have received a better mark than what I ended up getting. I felt I could have included more in depth info but I feel each of the steps were answered clearly. I felt I did what was required in each section.

My Learning Plan

I thought this assignment went very well for me and I got to learn more about the different editing techniques. Learning about editing techniques like the Histogram and the Matte Effect was interesting to me and overall I feel that the extensive research I did with this assignment benefitted me not only for this assignment but later on in the course.

Requesting Permission

Overall, I feel that my requesting permission email resembles a professional email that states why I want to use the image and what I am using it for, the image that was selected was a picture of the Hamilton Harbor and I chose this photo. The screenshot doesn't show it, but at the bottom of the photo I included image credits below which further enhances the professionalism of my email.

Yearbook

I was really proud of what I was able to make with this assignment. I borrowed my Dad's camera to take a picture of all (or most) of the guidance counselors and I felt like the quality of the image itself was strong considering I hadn't used a professional camera too much beforehand. My yearbook page is very colorful which is one of the main things I like about it. If I were to do this again, I would have liked to get Mr. Peterson into the photo, I did ask the guidance office when he'd be available to take a photo and they asked for my email, I didn't hear back from them. Overall, really proud of what I did with this yearbook page and I'm looking forward to being able to have something I made in the yearbook to make my family proud.

Showcasing my Work

For this assignment, I had to display photos I took and I chose the photos I took from my vacation to Europe over March Break. The 5 pictures I chose were: The Leaning Tower Of Pisa (as shown above), the beauty of Dubrovnik, a picture of me and my family in the coliseum, the nature of Rome with the coliseum in the background, the landscape of Florence, Italy, and a picture in Venice. I made edits to each of these photos to improve the looks of them, such as brightness, saturation, colour balance, contrast, channel mixer, etc. This was another assignment that I enjoyed doing because I got to use some of the editing techniques within photoshop.

Branding Me

For this assignment I had to create a logo. and this was one of my favourite assignments I did in this course last year so I was excited to do it again. I made "Liam's Donut Shop" and I'm proud of what I was able to do with this. If I were to do this assignment again I would've liked to include sprinkles on top of the donuts to make it more visually appealing and overall just make more design within the logo. I really like the font I used as it reminds me of a family owned donut shop that you would find in a small town.

Identifying Shots

For this assignment, we had to identify different types of shots used within two films and I was able to identify most of the shots that were needed. This assignment helped prepare me and my group for the News Story assignment later on where we had to use some of these shots. Overall, I feel I did what I was supposed to with this assignment and was able to take something out of it to help me with a future assignment.

News Story Assignment

I really like what me, Akbar, Aaryan and Gurnik accomplished with this assignment. I created the script and helped prepare Akbar and Aaryan for the interview by answering questions to give them an estimate of how long the actual interview would be, unfortunately the timing of when we recorded the video in the gym conflicted with my camping trip and I was not able to be there. I still make an appearance in the video in the transition to Mr. Casha's part and I took part in an editing process that took a little longer than I think all of the people in our group wanted it to.
