Because I have some previous work and life experience related to this research project, I believe there are no difficult issues to understand.

So far, what I have learned is that sustainable development should aim to make all the manufactured items have the function of being disassembled and re-manufactured multiple times, in order to reduce the waste of resources and the increase of waste.

I think this will be a challenging project - people all over the world have been calling for sustainable development and reducing wasteful behavior, but most people consider this to be a major issue that has nothing to do with them personally, and therefore they don't pay much attention to it in their daily lives.

I believe my proficiency in sustainable development is quite high, and I am willing to use electronic media as much as possible for presentation.

I believe what I can study is the connection between sustainability and my major, as well as what I can do with my major to contribute to sustainability.

Another issue is how to promote sustainable development at the source, such as those companies that produce goods. After all, if the manufacturing companies are unwilling to use recyclable materials, even if the purchasers have some ideas to extend the lifespan of the products, it still cannot prevent the eventual generation of a large amount of waste that is harmful to the environment.

Turning to another direction, I believe an effective solution would be to incorporate the concept of sustainable development into the law, and at the national level, bestow honors upon those who appropriately implement sustainable development practices, in order to encourage the majority of people to join this movement.

This product for recycling chewing gum has significantly reduced the amount of chewing gum on the roads. At the same time, it also solves the problem of the time and money spent by people or objects to clean up the stuck gum, addressing the issue at its root.

The production process of T-shirts is related to the light industry and agriculture in the manufacturing sector.

What surprised me the most was that it takes 2700 liters of water to manufacture a single T-shirt. This process has adverse effects on the environment. My suggestion is to optimize the production process while increasing the production of T-shirts. This can reduce the resource consumption per T-shirt and minimize environmental pollution (this logic stems from the fact that humans cooked food together hundreds of years ago. Cooking food required burning plants, such as wood. The amount of wood needed for twenty people to cook food together was only 50% of that for twenty people to cook food individually).

As a consumer, I will reduce the purchase of T-shirts. When the demand in the market decreases, sellers will reduce the production of such goods, thereby reducing the waste of resources.

During the discussion, I realized that Yuze's major is exactly the same as mine - visual communication. Therefore, our main focus is on reducing waste of resources, such as moving from creating artworks on paper to using computers, thereby reducing the consumption of paper and, consequently, the cutting down of trees.

I presented such an idea at the meeting: We can take already existing artworks, such as posters, and use scissors to cut them into small pieces of color to create other works. At least, I think it has some feasibility.

I think the ideas of the team members are all very interesting. From the words they used, I could sense that they were in a state of confusion. After some time of reflection, I believe they will definitely achieve the desired outcome.

During the discussion, I realized that as long as humans need to live, they must utilize resources. However, this does not mean it is wrong. On the contrary, we should instead think about how to better utilize resources and reduce the wasted parts.

During this week's study on sustainability, I encountered some difficulties because this was the first time I had dealt with the topic of sustainability.

I feel that I didn't have enough time to speak during the group discussion, and I also failed to express exactly what I wanted to say.

I think this is because my spoken English is not good enough and I lack understanding of sustainable development. I believe I could have done better.

I have learned that oral communication skills need to be improved, and that I need to increase my research on sustainable development.

Today, I gave a presentation in class about the mini-project "Green Washing", and after the presentation, I still needed to address the questions raised by one or two students.

In today's speech, I felt that I was able to accomplish things that I couldn't do before, such as giving a more fluent speech, making it clear for others to understand my true thoughts, and adding some emotions to the description to make the tone change.

However, there are still some areas where I could improve. For instance, after students raise questions, I can offer my most immediate thoughts, but I cannot quickly organize my words to give a response - I still haven't fully mastered my thinking.

I think what I did well was to clearly indicate the end of my speech at the conclusion, and to provide a relatively normal closing statement. But for me, coming up with a good and engaging story is quite challenging.

I think my progress in today's speech was not very smooth because my command of spoken English is still not very good and I'm not very confident. Although I have learned and applied some structure in the speech, the final result seems not so good.

Most of the time, I no longer fear communicating with my classmates or expressing my ideas in front of many people, but I still can't completely get rid of this nervous feeling. However, what gives me some comfort is that my classmates raised relevant questions about my speech. At least, my oral communication ability has improved to some extent.

In this speech, I learned that I should reduce the amount of text on the poster. I should use my own speech to integrate all the elements of the poster. I should have enhanced the responsiveness to deal with different issues and have included more references to support my research. Make my speech more credible and appealing.

In my next speech, I will introduce my research to others in a more fluent and emotionally expressive manner. I will also incorporate sign language as a guide and increase interaction with the audience during the speech.

Part B: Classmate's Speech.

In today's classroom presentation, the thing that impressed me the most was Kexin's speech. I felt it was truly extraordinary.

In her speech, I heard that the company she studied was able to reprocess the food that others had wasted into new food, thereby supporting sustainable development. I found this hard to understand. After all, I believe no one would want to eat food that someone else had eaten before... even if it had been completely disinfected and modified.

There was also a student from Taiwan, China. I'm so sorry, I can't remember her name, but I really enjoyed her speech. She told a story about Coca-Cola Company's efforts in environmental protection in fluent English, with a clear structure. And she also handled the tone in some key points very well. These are all things I want to try next time.

During this communication, I felt quite satisfied because I did achieve some key results. For instance, I used dark text on a light background to highlight my ideas. Also, the arrangement of my pictures was quite orderly, the citations were fine, and each picture had a specific source noted. However, there were also some areas where I did poorly. For example, my font was very ordinary with little design sense. The font spacing was small and the font size was not large enough.

Additionally, due to learning many new sign language concepts that I wasn't familiar with before, I had some expectations for my next presentation - at least I think I can improve a little each time.

I feel that my ability in terms of composition and layout is decent, but I'm not good at using sign language to convey my ideas.

I believe I haven't thoroughly studied the design of text, and I haven't regarded designing the text as an important component of the poster. At the same time, I seldom give speeches and have very little experience in it.

Through today's learning, I think I will change the significance of words in my poster. Maybe it will increase from 10% to 30%, and also increase the time and frequency of practicing to describe an object or a story.

In my next speech, I will use more sign language and adopt a more natural tone to guide the audience into my story.

During the process of learning to write academic papers, I felt quite good.

Because some of the new knowledge I acquired, for instance, the introduction section is very important. Citing references can help me quickly present my ideas, and my paper is an extension of my thoughts.

I feel that writing an English thesis is somewhat challenging for me, but it is also a very novel experience. I think it is more like a process of communicating with readers through the thesis and merely presenting my ideas.

I think the English papers have brought me some novelty and have made me interested in this type of writing. At the same time, the comments from my classmates have also helped me understand my shortcomings and enable me to make progress in my next writing.

So far, I have learned that it is necessary to draft a framework for the paper before starting to write, which can increase my speed of thinking.

In my next paper writing, I hope that I can describe my ideas in a more academic way like other classmates, and achieve a higher grade.
