these four words represent a scale: the more acts of generosity, the more charitable one becomes. each act of charitability leads to bigger effects like social change.

Q: Are any terms problematic?
A: Perhaps social change - not everybody feels the same and is willing to make that change. Negative possibilities. People come from different backgrounds and different thought processes. Some intents are good but have a problematic outcome (example: missionaries).

Being generous and charitable are things you can do every day, but justice and social changed usually take a lot more work to achieve (more systemic change rather than acts of kindness).
