The festival website also makes clear that you will need to have other people's registrations to be able to buy tickets for them. Which then leads to more of an informal conversation in the WhatsApp group, making sure that each individual has registered and creation of the spreadsheet. 

The lack of colour to this page suggests the formality of the instructions to register. There is only one way to register, there's no other way to be able to purchase a ticket and can only be purchased through the Glastonbury website.
The way this has been written on the website is very clear, so it does not leave space for any questions or confusion. Therefore, if anyone does purchase tickets from another website or someone does try to purchase tickets without registering, then they will be able to see on the website why their ticket would be invalid or why they have been unable to purchase tickets on the date of sale. This message being on the website could also be used for any legal evidence / used in law. Messages to this group can be sent or received anytime, there's no specific location or environment that messages need to be sent in. The group is informal, but organised.

Those who have been to the festival on previous years, and who have more experience getting tickets are the admin of the group, who add new members and give the best advice in order for each member to be able to secure a ticket. Therefore, the social interaction via WhatsApp reflects this. There is an unspoken rule within the group that the only conversation that takes place on WhatsApp once the ticket sale has started is the confirmation of tickets, to know who is left without a ticket. 

These messages demonstrate "everyday literacy practice" (Mace 2005, P:18), a conversation within a friendship group. Using informal language, that is personable and has friendly tone to our conversation. Throughout the conversation, you can see the use of emojis and Amanda has put a 'x' at the end of her message, which gives a warm tone to the message, usually seen as a 'kiss', the same as it would be used in a birthday card. This displays how this literacy practice has been developed and transferred into digital literacy. Members of the group replying "here miss" relates back to our school days and a part of British culture when answering to authority (a teacher checking the register), making sure everyone is present. This group has been created by Glastonbury Festival fans, not by actual event organisers. 
The texts discussed may be official, but the way they are posted and discussed are vernacular.
This group has members who have never been to Glastonbury Festival before, so they use the group to ask questions, and some members who have been going to the festival for over 10 years. There is a range of different generations, the older generations describe what it was like to be at Glastonbury Festival at that time.

Going from buying tickets through the car window for £32.50 each, now they cost £250 and upwards. This goes to show how much Glastonbury Festival has evolved over the years.

Jenkins' post has its own informal language, and has the use of emojis, but the message is still clear. Her writing almost matches the excitement and fun that she has experienced at the festival. Jenkins has not thought about the way this post is written, or if anything has been misspelled, it has been specifically written to let members of 'Glasto chat' know about her life changing experience there, what the festival used to be like and to wish ticket holders a great weekend. It could be said that Jenkins may not use formal writing very often, however, if this post had been written formally then it would take away the current feel for the piece. However, this post still uses comas and fullstops, basic grammar. What you can clearly point out from this post is that it has been written on a smartphone, so this would also effect the writing due to how millennials are used to typing messages through a smartphone. Jenkins has also included pictures with her post, which adds to the overall effect of her post about her Glastonbury memories. The use of emojis are also common throughout this post, which is also a modern practice of digital literacy. Emojis are used to decorate or emphasise the message. Jenkins uses a music note, a poo, a wineglass, people dancing and a smiley with a cowboy hat. This would symbolise the music, the 'long drops' (toilets), alcohol, dancing and exuberance or adventure. In the picture above, I bought this yellow one piece purely to wear at the festival, then bought the bucket hat to match there. The same as you would buy new clothes to go on holiday.
