experiential background, I hereby apply for a position at the organization.
My journey as a formal practitioner is at its interim stages where I have just begun my first year of
studies. Due consideration should be given for the work-based experience that I have gained which
would prove to be beneficial to the young learners at the institute that I will serve. I want to be
the catalyst to motivate young learners to be the best that they can be, in this ever-challenging
world that we live in. My placement as a classroom assistant, supporting children with behavioural
challenges and special educational needs ensured that their academic and personal
developmental needs where met. This was attained by ensuring that their Individual Education
Plans and Behaviour Intervention Plans were followed and regular feedback was provided to my
line manager where further interventions could be implemented if need be.
Coming from an underprivileged background had not allowed me the opportunity to attend
university even though my school leaving qualifications would have ensured entry. I believe
strongly in education and know about the power it has to bring about positive changes in the
world. Hence, I constantly look to upgrade and formalise my early experiences by enrolling for
