Consumption awareness seems to me an activity that can be good for any school grade, because before being able to produce a real change in attitude in the students it is important that they know the starting problem. Working at the kindergarten, I would suggest carrying out this activity with an image brainstorming and with adequate reading.

Every piece of rubbish removed makes a difference. Even 30 minutes spent collecting rubbish on the beach (parks, forest...) will have a positive impact.

 Suitable for all levels, Primary and Secondary and even kindergarten! In our school once a month, kids and parents come cycling to school, every class have their recycling bins and menus are greener. We also try to reduce waste by using a lunch box instead of plastics and carry out other actions to reduce energy waste. 
However I feel children carry out some of this routines without being aware of the reasons behind.

 

 

Of course it is a good idea, most children don't even know seasonal vegetable products, local traditional products, they have never grown anything. It is also important to demonstrate you can start a small urban garden. It is important to plant trees. 

But most of them will never have the time and the land to grow their food, just as their teachers, who buy vegetables grown in the other emisphere at the supermarket.
