Mark Bauelein thinks that even though we are skillful in a modern context we aren't kept up with history, economics, science, current events, ect. (real world things outside our technology). In the third paragraph Bauerlein states that "Never have opprotunities for education, learning, political action, and cultural activity been greater. All the ingredients for making an informed and intelligent citizen are in place. But it hasn't happened." He is right that all these opportunities for us young adults to become great are all in one place, but I think he is wrong on the last sentence. Paragraph 11 talks about "Part of the reason may be that adult brains require a lot of focus and effort to learn something new, while children’s brains are designed to master new environments spontaneously." One reason for parents to not like technology because they have heard time learning how to use it since its harder to learn things when you are older. Most schools are equipping themselves with these items and investing many dollars on their installation within all classrooms." Gopnik gives us her personal experience with technology helping her and her grandson out. Gopnik and her grandson, Augie were in the garden when Augie asked how bees make honey. She didn't know so she googled it. Many videos came up to educate them and they both learn so much about bees and honey.
