Lincoln had a whole plan for post civil war&nbsp; but he was assassinated and this plan went down the drain when Andrew Johnson was named president and Johnson's plan was the complete opposite of lincoln's johnson wanted the south to swear allegiance to the union but lincoln wanted to be united.&nbsp;<br><br>3. 15th amendment being passed which allowed all black men to be able to vote and this was hated by the south and they needed federal protection at the voting booths.</div>]]></description>

The 14th amendment basically made it so that the African-Americans couldn't have land or other properties taken away from them and the south did not like this because they didn't want them (African-Americans) to become more like them.<br><br>2. The 15th amendment basically allowed the African-Americans to vote and the south did not like this because they thought the right to vote should be granted to citizens and they did not see them as citizens.<br><br>3. Sharecropping became a big thing because the African-Americans were promised 40 acres of land and a mule but were only given certain plots of land and still had to work on farms and only got a small share based on how much the farm owner wanted to give them.</div>]]></description>
