They access the use of public assets for a boost in public wealth.

This article reminded me of the topic of the debt crisis and the Washington consensus. It has a Keynesian way of thinking because it encouraged expansionary economic policy and government spending to boost aggregate demand and I feel this is what is being encouraged for Indonesia to do to boost income.

It covers gain from Foreign Direct Investment It talks about most of poor countries FDI going to the west which is a CORE nation but the most gain is going south to south.

This article reminds me of Comparative Institutional theory because it speaks about FDI in foreign countries having gain for poorer countries. Often periphery countries trade with core countries and do not gain much. Compared to their coverage on FDI going south ton south there is more gain for poorer countries.

The trade war also poses threat to Chinese factories and workers.

This article reminded me of Wallerstein's World Systems theory of development due to the US posing high tariffs on commodities but this exploits the labor of Chinese workers and some commodities. It is an unequal exchange that affects both economies. The core nation still exploits the semi-periphery.

IMF has predicted less growth in the economies. This will greatly affect the US economy.

This article reminded me of dependency theory and comparative advantage. This shows how the countries who produce what they are best at and trade can be very beneficial until extreme tariffs are imposed. With the trade deals we can see that the economy suffers and both countries suffer sanctions both countries can not function without the other.
